Village Vets Coolock appears to run a pet plan (mentioned by an owner with three dogs on it) and is frequently described in reviews as a clinic that takes time to answer questions and explain procedures and costs before booking. Recent reviews mention cat and dog appointments, including spaying, and some owners specifically note staff handling nervous dogs well.
Feedback is mixed on cost and end-of-life care: one recent reviewer describes being quoted €500 for bloods/tests for a very sick cat and paying €222 for euthanasia performed by an intracardiac injection after IV access couldn’t be achieved, and they say they were not allowed to be present for the procedure.

I have my 3 puppers on the pet plan in the coolock branch, and all the staff are amazing and so caring and kind to each of their personalities and to me as an owner too, I can't praise them enough

My poor cat was largely unresponsive this morning, couldn't walk or eat, so in fairness I rang them and I brought my cat in. They were unable to get an IV into him, then I was hit with the cost of bloods and a few other tests coming in at 500 euro, but that would just be the start. As my cat was so sick it would likely warrant hospital stays and further testing. I told the vet I simply can't afford it. I made the difficult decision to euthanize the cat. It cost €222 they were not able to do it through IV, only into the heart! I was prevented from watching the procedure as it's not pleasant when ordinarily you would be able to see him pass on through IV. While waiting I rang another clinic that quoted €150 for the procedure I'd have gone there only my cat was so sick. I found it very costly and that didn't include any ashes or other memories. Not a pleasant experience overall. I think the cost was far too high considering the experience.

Excellent care from start to finish , the most friendly professional staff, who explained everything regarding the procedure , all fees were outlined and explained before I booked the procedure and no question I had was a bother to them . Skye was relaxed and not stressed at all , they cared for her as if she was one of their own. Absolutely wonderful Vet family. Would highly recommend.

Village Vets Coolock are a fabuloud vet clinic. They're very skilled and friendly, and very approachable to ask questions to about different aspects of pet care. They're also very good with handling dogs that are nervous in vets. Lucy was an absolute delight to see, and she was really good with our two dogs!

I went there with my dog that had a BOAR surgery and started panting on the way to the vet. I called and told that I would be 5 to 10min late. When I got there they wouldn’t see my dog even there was no one waiting! I stayed there until 8pm and they didn’t want to see my dog. Kevin, the receptionist was the worse ever, rude and yelled me to go home. Worst experience ever. STAY AWAY FROM VILLAGE VETS COOLOK. They lack humanity! They lack what is needed to be a good vet: ethics and love for the animals.
