#11 Vet in North Dublin City, Dublin
Botanic Veterinary Clinic, located in Glasnevin, Dublin, Ireland, receives mixed feedback from its clientele. With a rating of 4.3 stars based on 180 reviews, the clinic presents a generally positive reputation, although it does have some areas of concern.
Several reviews highlight the compassionate care and professionalism of the clinic's staff. One customer, Steven Goff, praised the clinic for the attentive care provided to his injured cat, Lexi, noting the exceptional support and clear communication throughout the treatment process. Another reviewer, Bids Osullivan, commended Una and her team for their empathetic handling of a difficult situation involving her cat, Luca, emphasizing their thoroughness and kindness during a heartbreaking time.
However, not all feedback is positive. Phil Moynihan's review reflects a troubling experience involving miscommunication and unauthorized medical procedures, raising concerns about transparency and trustworthiness. Similarly, Rose Keeley noted a lack of empathy and perceived overcharging, which led her to seek alternative veterinary care.
Despite these negative reviews, others, like Derek, describe consistently positive interactions, highlighting the welcoming nature and thorough service provided by staff members such as Ashley.
The clinic's overall 4.3-star rating suggests that while many clients are satisfied with the care provided, potential clients should consider both the positive and negative experiences shared by others. Pricing information is not transparently listed, but there are mentions of perceived high charges in some reviews. Notable staff members, like Una and Ashley, are frequently praised for their compassionate approach, underscoring the clinic's strengths in customer service.

Terrible. I was lied to by at least three vets. One entry in my pets clinical record was totally made up. The vet swore we spoke when I rang the practice then she swore she rang me. I showed my call log to the VCI proving she never called me. Another vet did invasive testing on my pet when all I gave permission for was a scan. Then he admitted he had done several invasive tests and never told me. Then he had to admit he had put my pet on a course of weekly b12 injections without testing serum b12levels. I could go on and on. Ask for your pets clinical record after every visit. They can email it to you. What I read in my pets records after he died was horrifying when I voiced serious concerns they put owner happy in the notes.

We’d found our 10 month old cat Lexi had been ran over close to our home with her back leg and pelvis broken. Anicare Botanic were amazing in helping us understand the options available to us and went above and beyond to help us get Lexi fixed. The leg was so bad that it had to be amputated, but the care they provided Lexi and the amount of attention they gave her was unbelievable. They kept us in the loop daily and we couldn’t be more grateful to everyone down there. Special mention to Aisling for everything she did!

Una and her team are so compassionate and kind. We came to them with our beloved cat Luca after months of treatment with our usual vets, as we had lost faith in them. Una immediately did tests and discovered a large tumour and kidney disease. Unfortunately, his condition was so advanced and we had to make the devastating decision to let him go. We wish we had been with them from the start of Luca's illness. She explained his options clearly but with kindness. We were given time to decide, explaining the process. They made what was a terrible time easier. We stayed with Luca during his last journey and we were not rushed, allowing us to say goodbye at our pace. Una held him as if he was her own. When I collected his ashes, there were his pawprints, some of his fur in a little bottle, a sympathy card and a seed card to plant in his memory. We cannot recommend Una and her Team enough.

Thank god for Fox’s vet as we now have an alternative to botanic Vets. This practise lacks empathy but certainly knows how to charge. My daughter there today with her cat who has an injury to his back leg, the vet said nothing wrong with him but still charged her €134. Believe me it’s not about the money but a bit of kindness and empathy goes a long way.

I highly recommend this place. The staff is always welcoming and eager to help. Today, I went in, and Ashley took care of my puppy. Even we went there for only get a vaccine She was incredibly kind, always checking in to see if we had any additional questions about our puppy, and was super friendly throughout the entire visit. Definitely Thai was my best experience with vet in Ireland.
